Implementing of external testing is one of the most successful reforms in the educational system of Ukraine, stated President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko during the meeting with the chief executives of the external independent testing.
According to Yushchenko, Ukraine can be proud of this year testing.
The President is confident that millions of pupils will seel the advantages of external testing next year. He emphasized that that it is more fair system of access to higher education (bachelor, master degree, ed.)
‘Since now there will be a competition in knowledge instead of wallets,’ said Yushchenko.
He also said there are 3 main tasks for the Ukrainian authority now: complete the process of technical equipment, in particular computerization of schools; complete the process of bringing the national educational system to international standards and solve the problem of corruption in high school (institutes, universities, academies, ed.)
