The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a state program for 2008-2011 on informing the public about the issues of Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration. Cabinet's press service reports.

According to a government resolution, the cabinet will allocate UAH 36.7 million (around USD 7.3 million) for informing the Ukrainian people about Euro-Atlantic integration in 2008-2011.

Apart from budget financing, around USD 760,000 will be allocated from local budgets and other sources of financing.

The program foresees the fulfillment of tasks of Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration, the creation of conditions for conscious self-determination of citizens concerning their country's joining NATO, and providing support for the state policy of Euro-Atlantic integration.

The Cabinet of Ministers said earlier that USD 1 million would be spent on informing the public about the alliance.
