During the meeting the sides discussed opportunities of investing by the Hutchison Port Holdings to the social sphere and port industry development of Ukraine. Cabinet's press service reports.
Speaking about the investment climate in Ukraine, Oleksandr Turchynov noted that in the course of the first quarter of 2008 the volumes of direct investments to the Ukrainian economy had increased four times. He stressed that “the Government spares no effort for ensuring a favorable investment climate in the country”.
Discussing the investment prospects in Ukraine the Hutchison Port Holdings representatives noted that with the purpose of increasing the total volume of transfer of the Ukrainian ports, by means of investing the sphere it is possible to increase the volumes of container traffic from 1.5 to 7 million annually.
