President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko hopes to discuss with Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev “sensitive questions” of the Ukrainian-Russian relations. As the press office of the President report, he stated in an interview with the “Globe and Mail” Canadian newspaper.

The President also told in his interview about the internal situation in Ukraine, the Euro Atlantic course of Ukraine, the Ukrainian-Russian relations, in particular, in the sphere of energy sector and prospects of its development in the context of leadership change of the Russian Federation.

According to Yushchenko, development of the Ukrainian-Russian relations is optimistic. The two countries managed to form “confidential regime of relations, proper dialog”. The President noted  the beginning of discussion of a row of “sensible” questions, including the question on Holodomor of 1932-33.

“I’m sure that we will soon discuss this question in near future with new President of Russia Dmitriy Medvedev,” Yushchenko said.
