On Saturday, May 24 President Viktor Yushchenko went to Vygrayiv village, Korsun-Shevchenkivskiy district to watch historical reconstruction of Korsun Battle of May 1648. President's press office reports.
The event was arranged by members of historical clubs from Ukraine, Slovakia, Poland, Czech Republic, Russia and Belarus with support from the President of Ukraine. Other viewers at the reconstruction were Minister for Culture Vasyl Vovkun, Minister for Family and Sports Yuriy Pavlenko, deputies, representatives from local authorities, etc.
Within the framework of the event President also visited an exhibition by folk craftsmen.
