NBU intends to legitimate low dollar rate

The Council of the National Bank will decide on the hryvnya rate against dollar on Monday or on Tuesday.

The NBU leadership probably will extend the current corridor within UAH 4.80-5.30 (current corridor is UAH 4.95-5.25 –ed.). Thus, the official rate will not be returned to UAH 5.05 per USD 1 and the hryvnya revaluation will be legitimated and approved by the NBU council.

At the same time the head of the Supervisory Council of the NBU Petro Poroshenko forecasts that in September-October dollar will raise up to UAH 5.05 -5.10. He also called the Ukrainians not to refuse the deposit accounts in foreign currency.
