The Cabinet of Ministers is not obliged to report on the exchange rate policy in the Verkhovna Rada.
The office of mass media relations of the Cabinet of Ministers reports, that in accordance with the Article 99 of the Constitution of Ukraine, ensuring stability of monetary unit is the main function of the National Bank of Ukraine. “It means that formation of the exchange rate policy is the National Bank's competence,” the press service of the Cabinet reports.
Earlier, the People’s deputies had invited head of the National Bank, Volodymyr Stelmah and members of the government to make a report in the parliament concerning monetary and credit policy
