
The priority task of the Security Service of Ukraine considers is to reveal for domestic and world’s society earlier classified materials about struggle of Ukrainians for their independence. Acting chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine, Valentyn Nalyvaychenko stated at the scientific conference “Ukrainian national-liberation movement of XX century: foreign-policy changes”, which takes place today in the Diplomatic Academy.
“Our main aim is to clear Ukrainian history from lie, falsification and to work only with true documents,” Nalyvaychenko said.
According to the Security Service head, the thorough study of early classified historical sources testifies that Ukrainian national-liberation movement, in particular, during the Second World War and after it didn’t focus only on internal affairs, but it had also European scales.
“We do not conceal the history. The Soviet instructions how to falsify historical truth can be found among real historical illustrations about Ukrainian struggle for independence,” Valentyn Nalyvaychenko noted.
