The National Agricultural Chamber of Ukraine (NACU) and the Committee of Professional Agricultural Organizations of the European Union (COPA-COGECA) signed a memorandum on cooperation in development of the agriculture's structure, President of the NACU Mykhailo Hladkyi informed. Cabinet's press service reports.
According to him, the memorandum provides for cooperation in development and improvement of marketing of the Ukrainian products on the EU and WTO markets, a number of investment projects, as well as cooperation in security and in raising the quality of foodstuffs.
Secretary General of the COPA-COGECA Pekka Pesonen noted that the European Union is interested in development of the European model of agriculture in Ukraine. "The European model includes primarily three trends, namely crediting, a social sphere and protection of the environment", he said.
Pesonen also noted that the European Union positively appreciates actions of the Ukrainian politicians concerning adaptation of the Ukrainian legislation to the WTO conditions. "It makes us happy. Our main goal is to create a strong position of the Ukrainian farmer and the commodity producer on the WTO markets", the Secretary General of the COPA-COGECA said.
