President: Odessa Port's infrusttructure no subject for privatization

In his interview to journalists during his visit to Kyiv region President Viktor Yushchenko stressed that privatization of Odessa Port Plant should embrace only the chemical plant located there excluding the port’s infrastructure itself. President's press office reports.

His position Viktor Yushchenko explained by the fact that privatization of port infrastructure is prohibited by the Ukrainian legislation. “Privatization of the chemical factory is exclusively Government’s jurisdiction… When it comes to sea port infrastructure – this question is regulated by the law that prohibits in the case privatization of facilities of such a type,” he said.
