President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko forecasts that the level of inflation in the country will not become lower in April. He stated on Thursday at the annually international conference “Against trend”.
“It’s a pity, but there is no feeling that April will be another,” he emphasized.
The President reminded that for three months of 2008 the level of inflation was 9,7%. According to him, the analysis shows that the government hasn’t yet coped with the task to prevent inflation growth. Besides, the National bank of Ukraine, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy have much work to do.
Yushchenko added that it is necessary to hold reforms in order to cope with inflation. “Reform is a key how to cope with inflation,” he said.
In Ukraine the inflation composed 9,7% in January-March.
