President Viktor Yushchenko took part today in a general meeting of National Academy of Sciences members. President’s press office reports.
Addressing those present Viktor Yushchenko noted that efforts of National Academy of Sciences contribute greatly to development of the Ukrainian state. “We have all reasons to be proud of Ukrainian science and education”, he said.
President Yushchenko also pointed to importance of scientific cooperation with other countries as only by joining efforts contemporary challenges to science can be responded. Also, according to him, stirring up scientific and technical cooperation with the EU would better integrate Ukrainian science into European research dimension.
