President Viktor Yushchenko met yesterday in Kyiv with the President of the Hellenic Republic Karolos Papoulias who currently staying in Ukraine with an official visit. President's press office reports. 

The parties discussed topical questions of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Greece including how develop political and economic cooperation.

President Yushchenko also a subject of Greece supporting UNESCO’s resolution on honoring Holodomor victims and world community recognition of the Great Famine genocide against Ukrainians.

The two Presidents also discussed possibilities to liberalize reciprocally visa rules for citizens of the two countries. Separately sides discussed social protection of Ukrainian workers in Greece and fulfillment of their cultural and information needs.

Viktor Yushchenko thanked the Greek side for its support of Ukraine’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations. He also promised to fulfill President Papoulias’s invitation and visit Greece officially in 2008.
