In his interview to media, which took place in Orshanets village, Cherkasy region, President Viktor Yushchenko said that he would expect the government to prepare modifications and additions to 2008 budget law as soon as possible. President’s press office reports.
“The law on 2008 budget demands that based on the results of the first quarter of the year the modifications and additions to it were adopted. The government must forward for Verkhovna Rada’s adoption those modifications and additions as the law obliges it to,” Viktor Yushchenko said. President also informed that he had already had consultations with the Prime Minister and Verkhovna Rada Speaker on that matter.
When speaking about his point of view on priorities for the modifications to 2008 budget President Yushchenko said: “I would like to see the foundations of economic policy for 2008 more rationally and well thought-out organized. We must get used to stricter and more consistent economic policy”.
