The sitting of the intergovernmental commission on preparation of Ukraine’s joining NATO was held in the Foreign Ministry on February 25. Speaker of the Foreign Ministry Vasyl Kyrylych stated, ForUm’s correspondent reports.
He has noted that the sitting was held under the leadership of deputy Foreign Minister and acting head of the commission Volodymyr Khandogy.
He has also reminded that the commission is formed on the initiative of the President, and national coordinators of cooperation of Ukraine with NATO and the National center on European integration of Ukraine enter the composition of the commission.
Kyrylych informed that participants of the sitting had discussed the main aims of the central organs of the executive power of Ukraine on preparation for the NATO Bucharest summit, which will be held on April 2-4. Also, the participants of the sittings were acquainted with the results of implementation of the Ukraine-NATO target plan.
