President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko considers that Ukraine must not have only parliamentary or only presidential form of governing, Minister of Justice Mykola Onishchuk states.

“The President has told me personally that Ukraine will have mixed form of governing. According to the Head of the State, we must not have only parliamentary or only presidential form of governing,” he stated on the air of the “5 channel” on Wednesday evening, answering the question whether Ukraine will have parliamentary-presidential form of governing or presidential-parliamentary.

Onishchuk thinks that exactly mixed form of governing will be the most optimal for the country.

As earlier reported, President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko opened yesterday the first sitting of the National Constitutional Council. The Council is formed by the President’s decree from December 27, 2007. It is headed by the President and numbers 97 members.

The aim of the National Constitutional Council is preparation of new version of the Constitution.

Onishchuk also is the member of the Council.
