The Pechersk district court of Kyiv has taken a decision to detain former Minister of Transport and Communications Mykola Rudkovsky. Judge of the Pechersk district court of Kyiv, Serhiy Vovk informed. ForUm’s correspondent reports.

The judge notes that Rudkovsky systematically broke the procedural obligations and that’s why now there are all reasons to change the previous decision of the court, which had prohibited Rudkovsky to leave the country, for more severe conditions of detention.

Besides, according to Vovk, the decision of the Pechersk district court of Kyiv can be appealed within three days.

Earlier, Viktoria Butenko, the press-secretary of former Minister of Transport and Communications informed on Sunday that the family of Rudkovsky had applied to the court concerning the abduction. According to her, Ukraine's former Transport and Communications Minister Mykola Rudkovsky had been abducted from a hospital where he underwent a surgery.

The press-secretary stated that on Saturday at about 9:30 p.m. "15 armed men wearing masks broke into the hospital without producing ID papers, seized Rudkovsky, who was recovering after a surgery, and took him away in an unknown direction."

Rudkovsky underwent an operation on the spine on February 7. "He was undergoing post-surgery rehabilitation at a hospital and was, according to doctors, in rather serious condition. Doctors also said he would have to undergo a second operation," the press secretary said.

But, according to the press-service of the Security Service of Ukraine, the representatives of this service detained former Minister of Transport not in the hospital, but in the city in the evening on Saturday, where the Minister was on his business.

The representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine came to Rudkovsky and performed the decision of the court concerning his detection for the term of two days in connection with his deviation from the cooperation with the judicial investigation.

In his turn, Rudkovsky stated in the court that he met with the investigator regularly.

According to Rudkovsky, the prosecutor of Kyiv explained him that during the investigation process he had the right to stay in the city Kyiv, where the investigation took place, or in city Chernihiv, where he was registered. “I attended all the meeting, appointed by the investigator,” Rudkovsky said.
