According to the President, Ukraine realizes that signing of the Protocol on joining the WTO is a result of complicated negotiation process. According to the President, due to the efforts of Ukraine and constructive position of countries-members of the WTO today we have nice opportunity to mark this important for us event.
Yushchenko noted that obtaining membership in the WTO is considered as system factor of development of national economy, creation of transparent environment for attraction of foreign investments that completely corresponds to national interests of Ukraine.
Ukraine is ready to make its contribution into further expansion of trade system of the WTO in order to strengthen authority of the Organization, in particular by means of completion of negotiations with countries which are on the way to the WTO.
Yushchenko is sure that Ukraine’s accession to the WTO will positively influence the development of trade-economic relations with the EU and also will contribute to Ukraine’s integration to European economic area.
