Head of the President’s Secretariat Viktor Baloha stated that issue on re-elections of Kyiv mayor must be solved exclusively by the coalition. He said that today in an interview, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.

“President has already expressed his point of view – he stands for replacement of Kyiv mayor. So now it is time for coalition of democratic forces to fulfill those obligations it undertook while signing coalition agreement,” Baloha said.

He reminded that 12 draft bills including draft bill on Kyiv mayor are under coalition obligations.

Baloha noted that in accordance with the coalition agreement, parliament at first should adopt the given draft bills, and only then to appoint the PM. Now we see that representatives of BYuT and other “supporting” forces do not fulfill their promises they gave Kyiv citizens,” he said.

Baloha also considers statements of Kyiv mayor concerning promises of the President not to conduct early mayor elections are unethical. “President did not promise it,” he added.
