President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko warns about attempts of “pocket” agreements on issue of sale of regional energy companies. He said that in an interview with “1+1” channel given during his visit in Switzerland.
“The first and the most important – I would not want sale of “Oblenergo” to be connected with shadow “pocket” agreements of some political forces concerning distribution of these objects between definite people,” the President emphasized.
According to the President, privatization of any object, including “Oblenergo” must be carried out only on competitive, transparent base without any “political tips”.
Yushchenko informed he had signals that privatization of “Oblenergo” may cost Ukraine “a mere distribution of this company to define People’s deputies in order they to vote as somebody wishes.”
“Unfortunately there are such signals. I will react to them. But now I only warn/ I will stand for reasonable privatization of objects but not for sale of Ukraine,” the President emphasized.
