President of the National academy of science Borys Paton is present at the sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers. ForUm’s correspondent reports.
Opening the sitting, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Tymoshenko thanked Paton that he found time to come to the Cabinet of Ministers.
The head of the government confesses that she is sure that qualitative reforms can’t be carried out in the country without consolidation of science with executive activity.
Tymoshenko reminded that President of Ukraine decided to introduce Borys Paton into the composition of the NSDC.
She also noted that she agreed with the President of the National academy of science to discuss ten scientific issues which are very important today.
In his turn Borys Paton thanked the Cabinet for such initiative of Tymoshenko. He emphasized that members of the Academy wanted to set up relation between science and education. “It is necessary to work and to show result,” he said.
