Ukrainian Interior Minister Yuriy Lutsenko and Poland Vice Prime Minister, Interior and Administration Minister Grzegorz Schetyna have signed a Declaration of Cooperation in security area during UEFA Euro-2012. The instrument has been signed within the framework of a visit of the Ukrainian law-enforcement delegation to Poland, the Interior Ministry PR Department of Ukraine told. Cabinet's press service reports.  

The Declaration envisages the establishment of elements in charge of coordination and implementation of the Euro-2012 security strategy, harmonization of Polish and Ukrainian decisions, regulatory documents in the field of security during mass sports events. Besides, the document provides for adaptation of Council of Europe and European Union recommendations, as well as rules and procedures being used in the countries that had already held such activities.

The parties also considered a broad range of other urgent issues regarding cooperation of the law-enforcement authorities of the two countries, including prospects of the bilateral cooperation in combating organized crime, illegal immigration, preventing trafficking in human beings, combating money laundering etc.
