Leader of Socialist party Olexander Moroz considers that competition between the President Viktor Yushchenko and PM Yulia Tymoshenko will be strengthened. He said today in an interview.

According to Moroz, Yushchenko and Tymoshenko are competing with each other for some years that creates political intrigue. “One of them strives to be moral arbiter of the nations, the other one strives to obtain social-democratic niche. In both cases socialists, including me, impede them,” Moroz said.

According to Moroz, both politicians are authoritarian in their relations to state power but they cover with democratic, European rhetoric. “President and PM will not calm until one of them “sits on the head” to another. Tymoshenko seems to have better perspective,” he said.

Moroz opined that early elections had double aim – to take socialists away and not to get enough votes for coalition between OU-PSD and BYUT. “Then the possibility of creation of coalition PR+OU-PSD would appear. But as a result not only SPU lost but also plotters with Yushchenko,” Moroz noted.
