People’s deputy from Lytvyn bloc Mykhaylo Syrota stated that Lytvyn bloc would not join parliamentary opposition with Party of Regions.

“During election campaign we promised our electors not to join opposition, so we will do everything to fulfill our election principles,” Syrota said, commenting on statement of PR concerning possibility to form opposition among PR, CPU and Lytvyn bloc.

At the same time, he noted that Lytvyn bloc also can’t be in coalition as some positions of Lytvyn bloc program do not coincide with positions of coalition program, for example adoption of new constitution at referendum, accession to NATO, free land marker and so on. There is also common view on many position of coalition program and Lytvyn bloc program. So Lytvyn bloc will actively cooperate with parliamentary majority.

As a reminder, CPU member Olexander Holub stated that CPU was ready to unite with PR in joint opposition. At the same time Kateryna Samoylik (CPU) stated that CPU did not take a decision on joint opposition with PR.
