On Wednesday President Viktor Yushchenko held a meeting with Minister of Foreign Affairs Volodymyr Ohryzko. During the meeting officials discussed foreign policy priorities and international activity plans for 2008, president's press office reported.

President dwelled separately on the need for close cooperation between the Ministry, Presidential Secretariat, Cabinet of Ministers on the whole and Verkhovna Rada while conducting foreign policy.

In turn Ohryzko suggested that such principles of cooperation are fixed by a separate Presidential decree. To Ohryzko that document should also oblige state officials participating in international arraignments to turn to President for directives. Minister noted that strengthening of coordinative role of the Ministry among Ukrainian diplomatic missions would also be reasonable.
