President Viktor Yushchenko wrote a letter to Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko on Thursday, according to president's press office.
In his letter President drew Prime Minister’s attention to the fact that during 2007 secondary schools were not properly provided with all educational literature needed. Therefore Viktor Yushchenko asks Yulia Tymoshenko to take measures in order to ensure that in 2008 all secondary schools receive full range of educational materials needed.
President noted that particularly schools teaching in national minorities languages are short of textbooks in corresponding languages. Regarding this he suggested that government works out a national conception on organization of education in secondary schools teaching in national minorities languages.
