Leader of the Party of Regions, former Prime Minister of Ukraine, Viktor Yanukovych considers that draft State budget for 2008, elaborated by the government of Yulia Tymoshenko, is unreal. He stated on Thursday at the sitting of the opposition government in the parliament.
“Amendments, introduced in our draft budget, automatically make it unreal for implementation,” he said.
Yanukovych informed that on Thursday, at 8.50 a.m. the Party of Regions had received the draft budget signed by the VRU chairman “with the proposition to consider it and give conclusions until 7 p.m.”
Leader of the Party of Regions called such proposition “abnormal”. “Of course, this is abnormal proposition, because this (analysis of draft State budget – ed.) is not impossible to fulfill qualitatively,” he noted.
At the same time, according to him, the opposition government tries to find answers some questions.
In particular, according to Yanukovych, the fact that the profiting part of the State budget is increased by UAH 8,3 milliards without change of macroeconomic rates indicates that it is unreal to fulfill this budget.
Besides, he is anxious that the draft budget foresees the increase of State debt. He has also called unreal sums, which are foreseen to be obtained from the program of privatization.
