President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko is sure that presidential election in Georgia will be free and democratic. He stated during the meeting with presidential contender Mikhail Saakashvili. President’s press office reports
During the meeting internal political situation in Georgia, bilateral relations development, EU and NATO cooperation questions were discussed.
Regarding the pre-term elections in Georgia Viktor Yushchenko has noted that Ukraine is ready to favor democratic and free elections in Georgia. He also expressed assurance that in the existing situation Georgian authorities will confidently confirm its reputation of young and successful democracy.
