President Viktor Yushchenko held a meeting with Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, Verkhovna Rada Speaker Arseniy Yatsenyuk and OU-PSD faction’s leader Vyacheslav Kyrylenko. President’s press office reports.

Main subject of the discussion was arrangement of effective cooperation between the President, the Verkhovna Rada and the Cabinet of Ministers. Viktor Yushchenko also named some strategic goals of this cooperation. Among them are increasing competitiveness of Ukraine’s economy, fighting corruption, invigoration of investment climate etc. President also drew attention to the importance of his social incentives and expressed his whish that they are considered during 2008 budget preparation.

In order to enhance cooperation between the government and the President, Viktor Yushchenko suggested that consultations between the President, the Prime Minister and the Verkhovna Rada Speaker are held regularly on weekly basis.

“Activity of all state authorities and all political powers should be aimed at realization of national priorities of Ukraine,” Viktor Yushchenko said.
