The government analyzes gas agreements with the Russian federation and only after that and some consultations it will be possible “to start new format of negotiations". The first vice Pm Olexander Turchynov informed, answering the journalists question on possible changes of conditions of gas supply in 2008.
“Now we analyze agreements and situation, including on energy market. After that I think we can hold new format of negotiations,” Turchynov said.
Turchynov noted that position of Tymoshenko’s government is aimed at transparent relations with other countries, including Russia, break from shadow mediators and liquidation of any shadow lobby forms of problems solution. Transparency is reliability, it is a world practice.
As a reminder, on December 4, 2007 Russia and Ukraine agreed price for gas at USD 179.5 per thousand cubic meter.
