On the occasion of Saint Nicholas Day President Viktor Yushchenko with his wife Kateryna Yushchenko arranged festive reception in honor of talented Ukrainian children who made significant contribution into Ukraine’s image, president's press office reports.
Yushchenko invited all winners of all-Ukrainian and international competitions, champions of the world and Europe, international festivals prize-winners.
During the arrangement President together with children watched festive performance “Awaiting St. Nicholas”. He also gave children souvenir presents.
The reception is to become traditional from now for children who with their achievements serve example for their coevals. By means of such yearly receptions Viktor Yushchenko wishes to acquaint all Ukraine with its future elite and young intellectuals of the nation.
