The sitting of the General council of the World Trade Organization will take place on December 19-20 in Geneva. The central office of the WTO informed.
Earlier, the government of Ukraine forecast that the decision on Ukraine’s joining WTO could be taken. But the sitting of the working group has not been held yet, at which the report on Ukraine must to be approved for further question’s consideration at the General council.
As earlier reported, last week representatives of Ukraine held consultations in Geneva, during which the date of sitting of the working group had to be determined.
President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko in an interview with “channel 5” has told that Ukraine can enter the WTO on December 20. According to him, Ukraine has reached the membership in the WTO, all necessary agreements have been achieved.
