President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko notes that if the government is not formed in the given period, the VRU of the sixth convocation can’t be dismissed as it will contradict the Main law. He stated on air of the “channel 5”.

Answering the question, whether the President can dismiss the Verkhovna Rada, if there is no necessary quantity for government’s formation, Yushchenko said: “The Constitution doesn’t admit this.”

According to the Constitution, the coalition of the People’s deputies factions in the parliament is formed within one month from the first session of the VRU opening.

The President of the country has the right to dismiss the parliament, in particular, if the formation of the personal stuff of the Cabinet of Ministers is not formed during 60 days after the Cabinet’s resignation.

At the same time, according to the Constitution, the authority of the Verkhovna Rada, elected at the early elections, can’t be dismissed during one year from the day of its election.

The Verkhovna Rada of the sixth convocation was elected on September 30. The first sitting of this parliament was held on November 23.

So, new government must be formed by January 22, 2008.
