NATO is ready to extend assistanсе for creation of a professional army in Ukraine, NATO spokesman James Appathurai said on the eve of the Ukraine-NATO meeting of Foreign Ministers to take place at the Alliance's HQ Friday. Government's press service reports.

According to him, former Warsaw Pact countries will send their experts to Ukraine, who will impart their knowledge of army reform.

At the meeting Ukraine will be represented by acting Foreign Minister Volodymyr Khandohiy.
