Polish President Lech Kaczyński thinks that newly elected chairman of the Verkhovna Rada will play consolidating role in the parliament of Ukraine. The Polish President stated on Thursday during the meeting with VRU chairman Arseniy Yatsenyuk.

As head of the press service of the VRU Victoria Shvedova informs, the Polish President has congratulated Yatsenyuk on his election to the post of the VRU chairman, noting that this position “has special meaning.” He has expressed hope that in near days new government will be formed in Ukraine and it will give additional impulse to development of the bilateral Ukrainian-Polish relations. “Poland is interested in rapid formation of the government and stabilization of situation in Ukraine,” Kaczyński said.

Lech Kaczyński has noted that Poland supports European and Euro Atlantic aspirations of Ukraine. According to him, Poland hopes for deepening of cooperation with Ukraine.
