The Cabinet of Ministers and the National Bank of Ukraine agreed to draft new methods of inflation calculation, Chairman of the NBU Supervisory Board Petro Poroshenko told journalists, Cabinet's press service reports.
According to him, at a session of the NBU Council with the participation of government members an agreement was reached to create a working group for developing the new methods of inflation calculation. The group starts working on November 26.
As he stressed, the new method of calculation is needed for a series of economic factors.
The NBU Council worsened inflation forecast of GDP from 7.2% to 6.8% and inflation from 6.8% to 9.6% for 2008.
During January-October inflation reached 11.7%.
