The Federal Security Service of Russia on the demand of the Security Service of Ukraine has started the examination of documental sources for the purpose of preparation for the publication of statistic data of the period of mass political repressions in Ukraine in 1937-1938. Press secretary of chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine Maryna Ostapenko stated at a briefing on Wednesday.
According to her, the Security Service received the corresponding letter from its Russian colleagues on the demand of the Ukrainian side to represent copies of the statistic data of the documents of the NKVD of the USSR which are in the archives of Russia.
Also, Ostapenko has informed that in Moscow on November 15 in the Ukrainian cultural center the exhibition “Declassified memory” will be opened, where the declassified materials of the Security Service of Ukraine concerning the Holodomor of 1932-1933 in Ukraine will be demonstrated.
