The first deputy Foreign Minister Volodymyr Ohryzko considers that process of demarcation of land Ukrainian-Russian border may be completed in a year. He said that today in an interview.
“It is difficult for me to say now how long this process can last but it is not years. I think within 10-12 months demarcation can be completed,” he said.
“Wish of two countries to complete this process is very important. Political desire is necessary,” he said.
He expressed satisfaction that during last meeting of Russian and Ukrainian Foreign Ministers in Belgorod, Russian side informed about formation of demarcation committee.
Now, according to Ohryzko, it is necessary to start work of the committee. “Now everything depends on Russian colleagues. We are ready to hold session of the demarcation committee in November,” he noted.
