President Viktor Yushchenko sent a letter to Prime Minister Viktor Yanukovych with a request to allocate money from next year's state budgetfor buying Ukrainian books, video and music CDs for Ukrainian schools abroad.
According to Yushchenko, the urgency of this issue is proved during his visits abroad. Representatives of Ukrainian communities worldwide always raise the subject on actual assistance from our State in providing with Ukrainian books of Ukrainian language, history and other materials on cultural orientation.
Yushchenko offers the government to take measures on provision with Ukrainian books all Ukrainian schools and institutions abroad.
