Prime Minister of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych initiates new position of special coordinator of program on struggle against HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis.
Yanukovych charged to consider possibility of introduction of new position today after a meeting with ex ambassador of the USA to ONU, president and CEO of Business-alliance against HIV/AIDS Richard Holbrooke.
Yanukovych and Holbrooke discussed perspectives of obtaining by Ukraine of new grant of Global fund on struggle against HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis and malaria of USD 150 million.
They also discussed plan of joint actions for creation of effective system on struggle against HIV/AIDS that will foresee combination of efforts of state and private companies in this sphere.
In turn, Holbrooke noted that Business-alliance unites 230 companies, including from Ukraine.
