Today BYuT leader Yulia Tymoshenko held a meeting with ex State secretary of the USA Colin Powell. In scope of the meeting the sides discussed situation in Ukraine after early parliamentary elections; function of democratic coalition; reform program of the future government.
“Ukraine has made its choice for benefit of stability,” Powell said.
Colin Powell congratulated Yulia Tymoshenko on victory in elections and wished her success in her further establishment of stable economy, open society and strengthening of democracy in Ukraine.
“We are striving to form coalition and effective government that will be able to make significant economic and social changes,’ Tymoshenko said.
The sides also discussed issue on Euro Atlantic integration of Ukraine, issues on regional and energy security, military reforms and ways on improvement of investment climate.
