
President Viktor Yushchenko on Monday met with Deputy Prime Minister Andry Klyuyev. The president has listened to report of vice Prime Minister Andry Klyuyev on results of work of fuel-energy complex for 9 months 2007.
They spoke about the state of Ukraine’s energy sector and energy prices, especially how to prepare the country for this year’s heating season. Klyuyev assured Yushchenko Ukraine was prepared for winter but said quite many public utilities did not pay for natural gas, president’s press office informed.
The President and the deputy premier also spoke about Saturday’s gas blast in Dnipropetrovsk.
Ivan Plyushch, secretary of National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, and his deputy, Yuriy Prodan, were present at this meeting.
