President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko has left on a one-day visit to France.Yushchenko is expected to hold a meeting with his French counterpart, Nicolas Sarkozy. The ForUm informs, referring to president’s press office.
Two leaders are expected to speak about bilateral cooperation and political dialogue between two countries. They will focus on interrelation, attraction of investments and cooperation in transport, construction and energy spheres.
Yushchenko will also give Sarkozy declassified files on where the French prisoners of war who died in Ukraine during 1944-1954 are buried. Ukraine’s President will call his French colleague to support initiative of signing “European declaration on mutual memory.”
