Ukraine should preserve its integrity after the elections. President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko stated on Wednesday during his speech, ForUm’s correspondent reports.

“I pursue only one object: Ukraine must be integral, there must not be two Ukraines after the elections,” he said.

Yushchenko called on politicians, who enter the parliament, do not follow own interests, but “to consolidate the cooperation of main political “players” of Ukrainian parliament” on the basis of national priorities.

“Dear colleagues, today you have received everything from Ukrainian people. The most important is a mandate for formation of Ukrainian power. Do not follow your own interests, and I’m sure, this will be the best present for Ukrainian society,” the Head of the State addressed the political partiers.

The President has said that he is optimistic and he is sure that the results of the early parliamentary elections “maybe, for the first time give the possibility to speak about the essence of political mutual understandings in Ukrainian policy”.
