Ukrainian State and government do not own anything to the Russian Federation and “Gasprom”. Finance Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov said that today in the Cabinet, the ForUm’s correspondent informs.
“We do not own Russian any cent,” he stressed.
Moreover Azarov noted that the government had prepared for winter very well. According to him, there are 32 milliard cube of gas in underground gas storage. “Ukraine has never had such reserve,” he said.
He noted that with such reserves we can be calm.
At the same time, Azarov noted that with such amount of gas reserve, problems on payment may arise, but this question has nothing to the government, according to Azarov.
Yesterday press service of “Gasprom” spread the information that the company sent letters to its European partners to inform about current problems on gas delivery to Ukraine, having noted that Russia fulfils its part of agreement. At the same time, according to Gasprom press service, debts of Ukraine for gas delivery make more than USD 1.3 milliard.
