National democratic institute of the USA calls Ukrainian leaders not to hold policy of confrontation and to starts solving state problems. Chairman of observers delegation Abner Mikva said.
According to him, representatives of the delegation stated that early parliamentary elections in Ukraine mainly corresponded to international standards of democratic elections.
Observers noted a range of positive factors of election campaign and elections. According to them, this time there were fewer cases on intimidation of electors than in 2004.
Observers also noted some problems during elections. To them they related such problems: CEC members are politicized, ban o absentee ballots, problems for citizens who went abroad, inaccuracy in elections lists.
Representatives of the mission advised to resist from groundless initiations of legal actions and called judicial institutions to make objective and non politicized decisions concerning claims concerning elections.
