A struggle for 450 People’s deputies’ mandates has been started in Ukraine among 4857 candidates, who represent 20 political parties and blocs. Thus, 11 candidates pretend to one People’s deputy seat in the Verkhovna Rada.
The voting has been started at 7 a.m. and will last till 10 p.m. at 34 thousand 42 polling stations.
According to the law, the elections will be recognized if 50% voters take part in the elections.
As the press service of the Central Election Committee informs, names of 37 million 400 thousand of citizens are included into the election lists, who have the right for vote.
The CEC plans to sum up first preliminary results of voting on Monday, October 1.
