Leader of the Party of Regions Viktor Yanukovych addressed with open letter to President Viktor Yushchenko.

In the letter Yanukovych reminded the President that, “the early elections to the Verkhovna Rada became possible due to achieved political agreements between you, Mr. President, and parliamentary parties”, “despite legal uncertainty of your Decrees on dismissing the Verkhovna Rada, the parliamentary parties and members of the coalition made a decision to take part in the early elections in order to prevent new crisis and destabilization of the country”.

Yanukovych states that Yushchenko, as the Head of the Stated, “who is holding the reins of the administrative influence on these political processes” should have abstained “from participation in the election campaign of any political party. Nevertheless, You are personally involved in agitation activities and even became the front face of political advertising.”

Leader of the Party of Regions demands Yushchenko to stop participation in the election agitation, “otherwise the country will be at risk of another political crisis”.

And leader of the Party of Regions warns that if this happens, the representatives of the PR will make the President answerable: “You, Mr. President, will be personally accountable for the possible deepening of the crisis”.
