On September 20 BYuT leader Yulia Tymoshenko in scope of her one-day visit to London held a meeting with a legend of European and world policy of the last quarter of XX century, ex-PM of Great Britain Margaret Thatcher.
The meeting took place in London’s hotel “Тhе Goring Hotel”.
In a book “My years in Downing street” which Margaret Thatcher presented to Yulia Tymoshenko, she put down: “to Yulia who fights for freedom of her country so passionately and devoted.”
Two ladies talked about policy and history of Europe of XX century, current Ukrainian problems and Ukraine’s preparation for elections. Margaret Thatcher remembered years of her Premiership and establishment of new policy in Europe.
Thatcher wished Tymoshenko and her political force success at elections and she shared her own experience. “I know that last ten days of elections campaign are the hardest,” Margaret Thatcher said.
At night Tymoshenko returned to Kyiv. Today BYuT leader pays visit to Zaporizhzha region.
