Party of Regions leader Viktor Yanukovych is confident that President Viktor Yushchenko will not succeed in blocking of process concerning PM candidature promotion after parliamentary elections, by means of adoption of numerous legislative initiatives aimed at strengthening of presidential power.
“These are only tales. Constitution and we will make everything for Ukraine to get legal field,” Yanukovych said in an interview in Rivne region.
Yanukovych noted that after early parliamentary election each political force, including PR, will fulfill its election program.
He advised Yushchenko and heads of region administrations to listen to point of view of Ukrainian people. “Ukrainian people say that heads of region administrations must be elected but not appointed,” Yanukovych stressed.
He noted that “any destabilizing initiatives in scope of parliamentary campaign are not for benefit of Ukraine.”
